The place a role changes hands

Handov is the place a role changes hands, for a week or for good. It turns what one person carries, active work, decisions, relationships, and access, into a handover a manager reviews and a successor can actually use.

It serves five moments a role can change hands: someone leaves, moves to a different team, goes on leave and needs cover, hands off a specific responsibility, or a backup needs to be ready before the fact.

It is not a wiki, an HRIS checklist, a password manager, or a meeting recorder. Handov exists for the transition itself, the weeks when what someone carries needs to reach someone else, not for permanent storage.
